IE 8 and gamemaps

I don't know if this have been reported before.

Viewing gamemaps in full-screen with Internet Explorer 8.0 does not work.

I don't use IE. I just noticed it when I was at my parents. Same problem on my computer too. Turning on compatibility mode is not solving it either.

IE 8.0 is after all the second most popular browser version now. So maybe it's a good idea to fix it?

Call me weird, but shouldn't stuff like this be fixed on the browser side instead of hackfixing around it in the HTML code?
I mean, seriously... you can't add workarounds for every browser that's broken.
Just my 5 cents.

Same problem with IE7 (popup opens, but the gamemap isn't displayed).

Same problem here with IE8 (popup window, but no gamemap displayed). It work's fine with Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13.

IE doesn't like the width="" height="" in the IMG tag. It works if these are removed or set to an actual value.

Whoa, I think this bug was there since the beginning of HOL !
And yes, it was not working in IE because the "width" and "height" tag was empty, I fixed them with the correct picture size.
