I am probably missing something, but why there's still no single video of Buffee benchmarks?
Looking at Discord group, and all I can see is photo's of Buffee's packed up and ready for shipment.
I'd expect, at least creators, to have some videos that will help them promote their product.

I mean.. nothing wrong here ... I can wait... just curious, and a little bit impatient to see how it performs.

I payed for one "beta unit" but Im guessing most people havent actually received one. So not many out in the wild yet.
But yea, youd think we'd see that sysinfo screendump

Sysinfo is one thing, but some software running would be nice.. Try ScummVM or simimar demanding application to show its power please

I thought I saw a Doom screenshot(/video?) recently of someone who had one.

Buffee is not alive yet. I think the beta-version will be ready in around 4 weeks and with shipping it could be at least 6 weeks before we see anything.
This is kind of early in this project. It can be many issues. Be patient and do not hurry conclusions
I have a feeling that 030/3.2GHz is a little optimistic but who lives will see.

Not at all.
I personally love every single of Amiga hardware and software projects, and really happy to follow them.
I am just impatient to see some youtube clips.
I wonder if they will give Buffee to Dan Woods to review it. I love his reviews.

Is it, maybe, that slows people down, is fact that A500 doesn't have easy way of installing HD? So, they just don't want to show something like Gods running on Buffee, but rather, after they install some sort of HD?
But then again, Buffee should work on A2000, right?

@ kipper2k

man I tell ya the past 5 years for new Amiga hardware have been just amazing !

so this Buffee Vampire slayer board is only 030 correct? I mean it won’t be able to run the latest 060 specific demos etc?

if that’s the case then it will be the fastest 030 for sure but hopefully there’s a way to slow it down as for example if you want to play Wing Commander etc the game will be just too fast to be playable

You can set Buffee to 040. Even 020 with fpu has all the 060 instructions and more.

So is it an 040 or an 060 accelllerator? How does it compare to vampire or warp up board etc?

3 minutes spent on Googling "Buffee accelerator" will be time well spent for those who seek answers and want to understand what Buffee is about. There are already a bunch of articles that explain it very well.
As for comparison to other accelerators, its early days. Limited info available about real world performance.

In pure CPU speed in a real Amiga it will kill everything we seen before by a huge margin!

The CPU can be set to max speed, most compatible etc. These settings will be applied with a reboot. How well that will work remains to be seen.

This is first of all a CPU socket replacement that will fit in A500 and A2000.

For A1200 or other Amigas there has to be made a card to fit a Buffee. There are also some penalty with 32 memory addressing. For me this is the ultimate Amiga dream. 040 1GHz performance in A1200. Let's dream

Well 030 performance claims might at least be feasible, 040 1GHz figure seems to be unrealistic ...

This is a very cool project. Not only because it allows for extremely high speeds (amazingly so it seems!), but because the base idea here should allow for some rather nifty tricks. For example, user chosen level of speed/compatibility or acting as a drop-in-replacement for a broken processor, etc.

Very, very nice. Kudos to all involved!

When the Buffee can emulate an 68060 with higher performance than the Vampire, then we might call it a "Vampire killer".
Right now? nah.

What I like about this project is that is not trying to expand the CPU by adding proprietary opcodes or replicating/enhancing the chipset, it's just a bloody fast accelerator

It sounds like my MiSTer FPGA will also benefit from this project by using the ARM to greatly improve Amiga performance (fingers crossed!)

Exactly, this is what I like about it as well
