GB 1000 parts list thread
Hi all,
I created this thread so that we can list all info pertaining to the parts required for this project. This is not intended as a troubleshooting thread. We can use this thread to identify prices, locations and availability to help everyone get the parts they need at the lowest price. Any tech questions should be put in the thread that was created by PJM. http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=67460 I will add a little table to this post as people give info so we can see all the resources available quickly and be able to compare.. Hmm, I need to order $30 worth which would be over 100 for them to ship to the uk and woud be at least $70 shipping. But they are soooo cheap. What pinage is the A1200s connector or the 600s for that matter?

I'll give a little insight on what i intend to do as supplying parts. I don't want to order the parts until the boards have been bought, that way i know there is a definite demand from people and people have had a chance to see what parts they can source elsewhere. I will order some parts for those people that want me to but please realise this is a slow process of sourcing, gathering etc.
Obviously it is going to be cheaper when the parts come from the least amount of sources. It is going to take a while as some of the places the parts come from use free shipping which is more often than not very slow so for those people who expect "wham bam thank you Ma'am" its not going to happen that way. I won't be able to supply the custom Amiga chips so it is time to start bidding on Ebay etc for those that need an Amiga to scavenge parts. I do have some new 23 pin floppy edge connectors so first come first served for those items. I think everyone is excited to try to get this completed as soon as possible and it is a slow process with so many different variable involved to get this project completed so please be patient I will be able to program all the GAL's and the TSOP and the prices for those components are relatively cheap. Remember also that some of the components on the board are optional E.G, the Amber chip, the Zorro riser and i believe the scandoubler. I think the best way to go would be to purchase the Indivision ECS to provide video output, (Needless to say supply of the Indi ECS may get stretched.) I'm juggling my time with a few projects and other demands on the go so I'll be scanning posts and answering questions when i can. |

i can order 100 of them and the total including shipping would be ~$80 so it would work out at about $0.80 each. That would be using US post office. NEVER !! use UPS when buying from the USA, theey are thieves and add on ridiculously high brokerage fees

Ok but if there's anything you want me to help with let me know. I intend to buy two CPUs and the memory from yourself if you go ahead.
I suppose I should point out in the opening posts that this build is taking most people about a year to complete, it won't be an overnight thing. With so many per orders I do hope people understand this. |

does someone know exactly what parts can be extradited from an A500 motherboard?
I know you can use the game ports, db23 connectors etc. possible the oddball 28.3751 oscillator? I see one on an a500 mobo image, but dont know if its socketed. odd chips (some probably are board revision dependant) 74HC245's 74F74 DS1489 DS1488 8250 CIA's Paula obviously heat gun or good desoldering skills required. |

I was wondering, what kind of Fat Agnus 8375 was required? Is it the A600 one?

The A600s or A500+. Is easier to extract from a 500+ though as the A600 is surface mounted.
