Backup original game to HD or disks?

I was wondering these days how can I backup an original game to my HD or copy it to other disks in order to keep safe its original disks. It does not have an option to install it to the HD, I use the original disks to play it from the floppy (insert them and remove them all the time to load, save etc.) and I was thinking if there is a way to play the game from copied ones, from my HD or back it up in my HD and restore it in a time of need(?) I tried to copy the original disks to empty ones through xcopy but it gave bad sectors while reading the original (source) disk.. Any ideas?

edit: I forgot to mention that I have an amiga 500 plus with a GVP A500HD+.

Search online to see if the game exists in adf/dms/ipf file format.

What game are you trying to archive?

Perihelion from Psygnosis. Also, do I need to make a nullmodem cable then to transfer the .adf file from PC to my Amiga? Is there an online .adf archive somewhere to find this game?

If you do a search for "Amiga Perihelion" you will find a site "The more or less "official" page of the cult-classic Amiga role-playing game Perihelion"

A null modem cable and software would be a good place to start for file transfer or you can use WinUAE to play the game.

EDIT: There is also a HD installer for the game here

EDIT2: Or an Installed version from here
