Slow Movement with Games
I have been using and enjoying very much WINuae on my PC for the last month or so. My Dad has seen me playing Pinball Fanatsies and he now wants a peice of the action. So I've put winuae on his old PC. Everything works has it does on mine but everthing seems to runs slow and the music goes funny, it sort of jumps.
My dad has got a WIN 95 PC his processor is a P200 with 64mb ram. He has a 8mb graphics card. I am trying in particular to get pinball fantasies working, is there anything I can try to sort this out. I'm suprised because surely even an old PC is more capable than an Amiga?? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. |

It maybe an idea to try the old Winuae 0.8.8 r8 or r9 on that old P200 if nothing else helps.

Yep, try Pauls suggestion
A copy of an older WinUAE can be found in the zone, top right-hand corner of this forum. |

Forget all that. Download DOS Fellow and have a blast at almost full speed on your father's computer!
DOS Fellow works a treat on my old Pentium 133, so it should rock on your dad's P200. Feck, I dont know where you can find that emu today, so I upped it to The ZOne for you. |

Well maybe it'd be more capable than it currently is if you ran a proper OS. Windows is slowness incorporated. And Linux, if you want a gui, seems to take almost more resources, but will at least offer up stability for that.

Server applications. And they're doing what they can to make programs which will emulate windows and directX.
