Sidewinder: WHDLOAD

Hi there,

I have an A600 with the standard 68000 cpu. I get the error "Needs 68020" when trying to run Sidewinder. The explanation is obvious but I was just wondering if there was some workaround or patch?

This game was designed for an A500 if I remember correctly, so was hoping it would work for my A600 :[

If you just have a standard A600 (and the floppy version of the game) I guess you could just use a degrader and run it from floppy?

Aye but my floppy disk verison seems to be corrupted from being 20 years old. It won't get past the startup screen.

May have to run that EasyADF and create a new disk.

But I had just hoped to play it via WHDload, not sure why it requires a 68020.

Well as far as I'm aware WHDLoad doesn't require a 68020 to run... what tooltypes (if any) are set?

Slave=SideWinder.slave

I removed the preload just in case that had something to do with it, but still getting this message:

"This installed program requires at least a MC68020 CPU."

All the other games work apart from this

How odd. Maybe it hasn't been coded very well; perhaps it would be an idea to send a bug report?
