A New Adventure: FaYoh 2 - "HD install" --> "ADF"
Heya guys,
I've now created a bootable .ADF from the Aminet file: http://aminet.net/package/game/jump/FaYoh2 See HOL for more information on the game: http://hol.abime.net/6128 Use a Quickstart A1200 configuration with at least 2MB Chip & 1MB Fast RAM. File now in The Zone! and will also put on the EAB file server under the directory "~Uploads/DamienD/HD INSTALL --> ADFS" when I get home tonight Enjoy |

Coolio my friends
...judging from this thread (that I only read today) "Emeraldmoon" would have really appreciated this also given the grief that he incurred: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=57722 Pity that I was only 5 years too late ...but to answer his questions, I needed to add the following "libs" to the disk in order to make it work: a) diskfont.library b) mathtrans.library |

Before reading Emerald Moon Thread
I dint realized how big was the size of this game, Somehow you managed to make it fit in one single 880K disk. Auto boot and everything needed to play right away. Last edited by Amiganiac73; 12 May 2016 at 01:10. |

Hehehe; it was close... only 10K free on the disk by the end
Luckily .LZX compression on all files / folders was slightly better than the original .LHA file... BattleShips II / Contraption Zack / Gloom Special Edition 97 were much harder to make into .ADFs as these are way larger games so required 3 disks |

Heya guys,
This has been bothering me for a few weeks now but I've been busy working on other stuff... Basically the game has 3 x Game File "slots". You choose one and start playing. At different parts of the game you have the option to save and a file will be updated so that later on you can come back to where you left off (well at least this is the case when running from the hard drive). With the previously made .ADF, given that the game is extracted to / run from RAM, obviously the saves aren't remembered when you turn the Amiga off Not that big a deal for me as I use WinUAE + Save States but thought that this may annoy real Amiga users Anyway; I've now come up with a solution where all Game Files will be copied back to the .ADF Note: you need to exit the game gracefully i.e. select "Quit" from the main title screen, which takes you back to the CLI in order for this to work. Obviously don't reset / turn off your Amiga anytime throughout the game if you want your progress saved. Updated archive "A New Adventure - FaYoh 2 (1998)(NC Gamez)(AGA)(SW-R) [modified - saves].zip" now in The Zone! and of course also on the EAB file server under the directory "~Uploads/DamienD/HD INSTALL --> ADFS" |
