June Quiz - clues #2 We have a first breakthrough - this week all games were guessed correctly. But still, we'd need to add all your entrys together to have it all, as still no one has achieved full points (25 + bonus point). With eleven correct answers on average it is a surprisingly difficult round, maybe even the hardest riddle of the year so far. Will our team of adventurers still make it to the treasure? Almost 40 people are in so far (three from here), don't give up now! Here are the last clues... you still have one week. 1) Game 1 is several years old, but will be released on Switch just this year. 2) For the third title a third entry of the series was announced a few weeks ago. 3) Picture 20 shows you a fragment of the title screen. 4) Game 23 was made by a German team and was released in the late 90s. 5) Title number 8 is an RPG and part of a series, but all other entries are NOT role playing games. Deadline is Sunday the 30th of June, please participate via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/ Hier nochmal das Rätsel: https://i.lensdump.com/i/WLbQA1.png |

Interesting to see that only 19% identified Rogue.
I clearly remember years ago looking for information about the game after often hearing about rogue-like games. Quote:
After identifying Phantasy Star 3 and not being able to identify 19 and 21, I had a bit of fun: 19) Phantasy Star II: Generations of Wolfenstein 20) Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom 21) Phantasy Star IV: Generations of Quake |

Trapped 2 was actually one of the few that I did know - sneaky having a 3d rpg for the Amiga! Hard quiz although to be fair I have heard of the majority of the games just never played many rpgs... always liked the idea of them but never had the staying power... Did love Baldurs Gate on PS1 (lovely water) but that was more like Gauntlet to me.
Well done all for completing this very hard quiz. |

Ultima 9 was just an evil, evil choice to put in there.

Mmmh, that's a well-known series where the protagonist was visible in the picture. But I agree that people probably imagine a different (2D) character when they think of Ultima.
Personally I believe Trapped 2 (very obscure) and the pink haired Rogue character (misleading) were more evil. :P |

Yes but who ever successfully managed to play Ultima 9 I think it ran for about 2 seconds on my computer.
Trapped 2 indeed is the purist of evil, but at least that's a series I didn't know so that softens the blow to the ego |

July Quiz - Videogame Jobs Okay folks, it's time to brush up those CVs, because no matter if it's the British "job centre", the US "Job corps center" or the German "Arbeitsamt" - we are job hunting! Luckily you got into an especially modern institution that adapted their listings according to video games. That totally makes sense, because it's been decades since computer games only featured you as a space fighter pilot or some sword-wielding dragon slayer. Indeed, there's a wide spectrum of jobs on display! For our quiz this means you not only have to name the 25 games, but also the job you are tasked to do. Do you know them all?? Here's an example (with games that didn't make it into this round): The correct answers (for 6x 0.5 points = full score) in the form would be as follows... 1) We Cheer 2, cheerleader 2) Bridge Constructor, engineer 3) Flight unlimited, pilot Easy enough? Deadline is Wednesday the 31st of July, please participate via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/ Here's the quiz: direct link: https://i.lensdump.com/i/WUEuIH.png |
