Apache Flight, a poor man's SWIV, just horrid!

On this weeks edition of "Shit Game Time" I have been requested to play and shit-rate Apache Flight on the Amiga, just a budget poor man's SWIV imo, the inertia alone is just gastly!

Too bad, it looks pretty alright actually. It desperately needs a health bar and better controls.

Well seeing as 90% of £25-30 Amiga games weren't even PC Engine quality and this was probably £10 what do you expect? lol

I'd call it 'A Patchy Flight' instead but that would be overrating it. Graphics and sound are fine though unimaginative, but the skiddy controls, misjudged use of the invisible bottom of the screen, the difficulty in destroying ground installations make it unrewarding - and the sudden end of a game when you lose your last life feels amateurish. The Raid series of PD SEUCKed SWIV clones are more fun, as was Violator for a straight-to-budget shooter, or the first Xenon on budget by then, or Plutos for £2.99 on the Pocket Power range. This loses to all of those. What possessed CU Amiga to give it 87%?
