Shadow of the Third Moon and Starfighter
I recently acquired from e-bay "The Shadow of the Third Moon"
http://hol.abime.net/1894 and "Starfigter: D' Yammens Reign" http://hol.abime.net/2093 If these games, are not in sale anymore, I 'll be happy to upload them somewhere (In the Zone perhaps), since I had hard time find them anywhere. |

I bought SotTM back in its time, but I remember I always had problems saving my progress. I tried it in 4 different Amigas, and always got the same error. If the version you have is not faulty, I would happily place a request for it.

Ok, guys. Since there are no indications that starfighter is still available, I will upload it to the zone. Be warned it's a 90MB Windows .exe file. (In fact RAR compressed .exe).
Happy alien hunting. |

You have to unrar it to a PC. I do not know if an Amiga can decompress it. ( In fact its a Win exe, so you do not need to install winrar). After decompression its an iso image, so I think you can burn it in a CD.

an interesting myth there Captain...
but ya just knew I had to apply Amiga guru intuition... after preliminary examination which lasted an entire 2 mins I decided I had identifed the correct procedure... the result was a slightly smaller file called Starfighter.part01.exe and renaming it to Starfighter.part01.rar then opening an Amiga shell with a stack of say 1100000 I issued the command line unrar x Starfighter.part01.rar "" after several minutes I had one Starfighter.iso... 163885856 in size... |

I downloaded, unpacked, mounted with daemon tools and ran the game. Works perfectly....... but wasn't so fun to play though..... Wing commander is somewhat better.... I think..

Yes. Wing Commander is still the best. I 've just finished the main campaign (for the third time), and now I play the secret missions. WC and Warhead were ahead of their time.
