Competition PRO joystick
http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...12232140feee26
This joystick seems really nice (although the black with red buttons has a cooler look, but i have heard the blur is much better to use). Anyone have any experice with it? And does it work fine with winUAE? |

I have the black & red version of the stick. After replacing some of the dip-switches with orginal ones from a broken Amiga Competition Pro it works awesome.

Never knew about these, the competition pro was one of my favourite joysticks. I got fed up of playing the older games on a pc joystick its just not the same.

as i suspected heres a cheaper link if anyone wants one! http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...6&cat=9&page=1
However they are out of stock at the moment! Amigakit may well be the only place for somethings hence we are stuck with them but if you have a choice shop elsewhere! |

I think the stick on the blue one is actually metal not plastic which could explain the reason its a tad more expensive at a few places.

The shaft / Stick on both is steel just the one thats chrome looks nicer
however for anyone's info the crystal blue on the fancy blue one shatters like hell the black / red one dosent Good to know in those arguments when you loose it and throw your joystick across the room with games like kick off 1 and 2 / goal / sensi soccer etc! |

I got one of these from ebay and it arrived today. I can always remember the competition pro being one of the best joysticks. I can also remember not being able to afford one, I think I got my first competition pro joystick when I got my Amiga 500 plus second hand years ago. This is just what I needed for playing on the emulators, something was always missing and that was a proper joystick. Its just a shame it only works on the pc and not on the xbox. The joystick I got was a blue and silver one, I'm not right keen on the silver colour.

I got my competition PRO today, and it works very well with winUAE. You can configure all buttons, so i guess ti will work fine for left-handed people too. (as you can make the right button primary fire). I use the small buttons as quick-save and quick-load.

Btw, what is the deal with "compability mode", why is it even needed (yeah i know, some games aren't compatible, but why?) Revenge of the mutant camles for instance (which for me doesn't work properly in compability-mode either (going left doesn't work, but everything else does).
