Picasso96 problems

Whenever I set the resolution higher using my 'minimal version of preferances' thanks to AIAB it just says the screen does not fit on my desktop when it does. I know it says I need it in full screen for picasso96 but it should be possible withought by using some nifty use of DirectX or OpenGL.

I don't see your point. Using a 1024x768 resolution in a window on a 1024x768 desktop simply does not fit: the window borders are around it making it bigger than 1024x768.

Its reporting the problem on a 800x600 window on a 1024x768 desktop. I know the monitor clames it's maximum is 800x600 but I have it running higer. (in fact I had it once in a strange skewed out resolution).
I suppose I could change it to a default monitor.

I have a problem. I installed Picasso96 on my emulated workbench. Now every time I start it it says " your Libs:Picasso96/rtg.library(40.3945) requires updating. Replace it with version from Amiga Programs directory in winuae archive. New library fixes graphics problems and increses performance"

To where do I have to copy that file. I can´t find a rtg.library file on my harddisk.

Do exactly what the message says: copy rtg.library from the WinUAE/Amiga Programs directory to Sys:Libs/Picasso96 (you have to do this from within the Amiga).

Tnx. It worked. I was confused. I was looking in the wrong folder for the file to replace.

Check the log. There should be line that says: W=xxx H=xxx B=xxx CT=xxx. It should list your desktop resolution.

btw, you sure it complains about resolution? Fullscreen mode is needed if Picasso96 display depth is different than Windows desktop and display card/driver does not support RGB overlays.
