Workbench 3.0 Monitor Drivers

Hi,

I have an A1200 with Workbench 3.0 installed on the hard drive.

At the moment the only monitor driver I have in Devs/Monitors is the PAL one allowing me to use a TV.

I would like to be able to use Workbench in VGA screen modes (I have the silver adapter) with a VGA monitor.

I have checked all my Workbench disks but could not find any other monitor drivers.

Any suggestions appreciated.

You should have a disk called 'Storage' that has more monitor drivers, although I have no idea whether any of them will work .

EDIT: Ok you found it before my reply

On another note - Is there such a thing as a widescreen TV driver? If so - where do I get it?

Yes - it's called PAL/NTSC SuperHighRes

N.B. If you grab the monitor drivers from WB3.1 they are a little better for doubled screenmodes.

I think this is impossible, no programmable pixel clock. (except by "emulating" it by adjusting refresh rates which also makes it non-TV compatible..)

16:9 isn't really a wide screen, it's just telly stuff and marketing. Cinematic material can be wider than that. My DVD of 2001 is in 2.21:1 aspect (also Lawrence of Arabia), and 2010 is 2.35:1 (as is Barbarella).

Which would correctly display black bars top and bottom on my 16:9 TV.. I hate stretching images so a 4:3 TV show (or Amiga) displays black bars either side!

@thomas

Yes, I do like that, I'd like it even more if it wasn't LCD (although LCD is a lot better now than a few years ago).
