Create .ADF images and add files on Windows

I've tried an old version of ADF Opus from 2002, but there is no indication of any possibility to add files to a created disk image. If I drag and drop into the opened window, I get a bunch of fopen etc errors.

It seems to be made for Windows XP or maybe an even older version.

Any tips? Are there competitors or alternatives?

The best would be to use Winuae with added PC folders as a HD. Create a bootable pc folder with workbench and a file manager of your choice ...
Save the configuration and whenever you need to copy something, double click on the configuration.

I do not know if ADF workshop can add files. usually it is for checking/fixing the adf's.

I have adf opus here, version 1.2.
It is a bit buggy, but it does copy the files over it.
You have to set the compatibility mode to winxp. (i have set it to sp 3)

Same.

Never mind. You have to actually drag from the internal "Windows Directory" window... If you drag from outside ADF Opus to an adf you get the ADFLib errors.

That internal window is clunky to navigate and can't be searched. I've set it up to point to a base folder. Then I'll use a better file explorer to "collate" the files and create the directories and prepare a complete folder tree to just do 1 drag.

That reduces its usefulness to about the same as Diskmaster in a fast Amiga emu. There will also be lots of duplicated files this way as opposed to dragging some files to C, devs etc. on the ADF from where they are.
