Why anyone is thinking to develop an accelerator for CDTV?
As for title, there are a lot of projects for all Amiga models (Vampire, Furia, ACA, etc..), present and past, but anyone has never though to the most beautiful Amiga machine, the Commodore CDTV.
Why? |

No expansion connector (internal or external), very, very little space inside?

There is the internal diagnostic port, people have made memory expansions for it, but that's about it. It's got some problems with autoconfig though. There is also the external expansion port for SCSI, but nothing else that I know has been made for it. The classic 68000 socket accelerators mostly work like Derringer, however like in the Vampire thread, if you want to close the case some small modifications are necessary.

I think people will be surprised at how many of us CDTV owners are out there , I have upgraded like most of them too with EX roms, 8mb 2mb, chip ram, and by the number sales of 8mb and 2mb modules by a guy on ebay it tells me there are many of us out there, and its my machine of choice and used the most out of all my Amiga`s and they are probably one of the most robust well made machines by Commodore.
And happy Christmas Brian and thankyou for all your hard work its appreciated just get that wing nice and mended first before you take your first flight |
