'Wait' program that checks for a joy button press instead of 'Return' key...
I've been looking for a program to do this on Aminet, but no luck
Does such a program exist? I'm looking for one to use in a startup-sequence... |

If there isn't you could compile one up quickly in something like Blitz Basic...

If you need something like this done I could knock a little program like this up this afternoon.

Wow - that would be helpful Graham!
Basically, I'm using a picture show program in my startup-sequence (256 colours) and want to fade in and display the image until someone presses fire - so it's important that it runs in background without clearing the screen... Unless of course you want to make a program that does all that(!) |

Attached 2 lines of code that just wait for the fire button to be pressed. Not sure if it's exactly what you want though. (.txt extension is fake, not allowed to attach executables)

I see StingRay beat me to it
Just wrote a small program in Blitz that checks for any button press on a CD32 pad (I assume you wanted it for the CD32?), so as I wrote it I thought I'd upload it to the Zone anyway |

I've gone with StingRay's solution for single game discs, for the sole reason that it is absolutely TINY. Thanks to both of you for helping with this though - the kindness in the amiga community never ceases to impress me
Graham - yours may very well come in use when I redesign my multigame compilations. Last edited by Heavy Stylus; 10 May 2009 at 20:10. |
