Debian crashes with kernel 2.6.8 when key pressed

Following on from the Debian Linux issues covered in the WinUAE 2.7 beta thread...

I installed kernel 2.6.8 to my Debian HDF (in addition to the default 2.4.27). On booting that, pressing any key at the login prompt causes the kernel to crash with a message like in the screenshot. Earlier in the boot sequence you can press keys which are echoed to the screen without a crash.

Can anyone test the HDF on their real Amiga? I have uploaded it to , ~120MB archive. At the CLI prompt type: Boot2.6-sda1

It crashes because some array has overflowed in amiga keyboard handler corrupting upper word of pointer that points (or more like was supposed to point but does not anymore) to key code table.

(Will check kernel sources later..)
