AGA demos, sometimes, need more memory than the basic no-expanded, sorry. A1200 + 4Mb fast is good (my real A1200 config)
and some demos, need 68030+

Yeah, right ... if it means that you wish to volunteer checking some of future reported demo problems also on your real A1200 2Mb chip + 4Mb fast ram ...
as what I remember, Toni said once that he has only a basic A1200 2Mb chip ram model and that he is interested only to those AGA demos till year 2000.

A1200 4Mb expanded ... some slowing down in 2nd part in WinUAE (test version 2014-01-29) !!! -> noticeable only when using headphones !!!

@heavy ... could you please check/compare how the demo behaves on your real A1200 with 4MB fast ram ... TIA

p.s. Well, this will be just for information purpose then for now (see post 6 below).

EDIT: Interesting, while a LMB is pressed the music seems to play fine !!!

EDIT2: And this is specially noticeable on part with sphere rotation -> see pic. below !!!

I don't have plain A1200 memory expansions = only plain A1200 demos are acceptable. Using 68030 board (or even worse, 68040 or 68060) makes the test invalid. (EDIT: and I don't accept others test results, I have to see it myself, sorry)

Fully understand, but it is now quite limiting the entire project.

Perhaps in a near/far future come up some a good soul and donates one of these 4MB expansion board for the A1200, just saying ...

... so that still might be a good idea to collect all problems related to the A1200, even those one that needs extended 4Mb fast ram board ...
... no matter what you're not in the possibility now to check/test the same, just saying.

If you really want to include demos that work with plain fast ram expansion (without 68030 not required), better put them in separate thread.

Later there could be also 3rd 68030 required category. (68040/060 required: No.)

Note that it may be not be that easy to find out if demo works with 68020 but requires 68030 (68020 would be too slow = slowdowns or glitches) or it only works with 68020.. (68030 too fast or glitches..). I am not going to do that!

68020 and 68030 instruction set is practically identical (exceptions being MMU instructions, that demos don't use, and some differences in MOVEC special registers, that demos rarely touch)

Don't also forget some "aga" demos that also work with OCS or ECS but require 68020/030 CPU only.

It can get messy..

Note: My main/only intention of opening this topic was to gather those AGA problems I encounter by chance and not to fully dedicate myself to it now ... as I'm still not completely finished with the classic A500 OCS/ECS what I intended to complete.

You missed another bigger problem, part of HAM area was completely missing.

Both fixed. But only because it had nothing to do with CPU.

Test all demos by booting from WB disk, at least Family Business (40k Intro) by Abyss requires mathtrans.library.

I think your config is not 100% A1200 config. winuaelog.txt needed. (EDIT: possibly AROS ROM is in use, not KS 3.0 ROM)

Basic A1200 confirmed. Some bug or something, corrupted sprite data.

Yes, it works from WB for Family Business/Abyss.

(p.s. But there is still same problem with Nexus 7/Andromeda, Vertigo/Abyss and Picture Book/Axis.)

It is from AF2008 CD:
KS ROM v3.1 (A1200) rev 40.68 (512k) [391773-01/391774-01]

winuaelog.txt says:
00F80000 512K/1 = 512K Kickstart ROM (1483A091)

Unfortunately cant find KS 3.0 for A1200 on AF2008 ... but only for A4000:
KS ROM v3.0 (A4000) rev 39.106 (512k) [391513-02/391514-02]

Black screens fixed (due to recent rewrite and AGA having "too long" fetches), this probably affected lots of AGA programs.

Crash still makes no sense, it tries to access custom memory banks (only enabled if manually added to config file or aros rom is in use) but your log shows them not being enabled. Perhaps some corruption due to above bug.
