It was a great event. It was split into two parts roughly divided into the early and later years and different Amiga Power people at the front.

It was all about the features, controversies and stories behind AP.

I believe @romalerts will be uploading the audio very soon.

Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy a refreshing drink

Thanks again Reido for the ticket, and thanks CodyJarret for the audio upload.

Shame some people didnt turn up! At least 20 seats empty.

It was a good event, a bit strange at first. Stuart Campbell, Tim Tucker and Cam Winstanley were really good, Dave Green was good, but seemed to struggle to express himself. Felt like he had interesting things to say but couldn't quite articulate it. Rich Pelley seemed disinterested, felt like he gave off a bad vibe, and didn't seem to have any fondness for the Amiga at all. Shame Steve Faragher and Gary Penn pulled out. Was nice to hear a bit more about Jonathan Nash.

It sounded like it would have been a fun place to work. I always looked up to them as a kid reading the mag between the ages of 8 and 12. Like rock star idols.

That it went beyond gaming and referenced the wider world was key to it's appeal. It placed gaming as part of culture, rather than isolated from it. And mainly that it was well-written, funny and surreal.

Who was it who said the promo for AP in Amiga Format contained the original Cannon Fodder poppy artwork? My copy only includes the censored screenshot cover. Was there a revised edition?

Cheers for the audio btw.
