On Disk 1 there is a MFM track on 79.1. On Disk 2 there is a RATT 1800 copy protection on 79.0. I generated two IPF test images which should be written back for a check. They should be not spreaded before testing them. If anybody want to do this, send me a PM. |

Go forward question..
So - being a long term CAPS/SPS contributor (Amiga/C64/Atari stuff mostly - hundreds of things dumped)... I have been trying to get everything sorted for the CAPS dumps as well.
The latest ClrMame dat file I have is for 1-3099 for Amiga stuff only... Is there a more recent dat file? Also, out of that dat file, I'm missing the same 10 everyone seems to be. However, I also dumped a TON of other things (C64/Atari/other).... which I never got IPF files for... or is there even such things for the other systems? I'm willing to upload to anywhere that people would benefit from these as the 'original owner' on so many of these things.... What's the right path forward? |

Further to what Rodimus is asking, is SPS done for when it comes to official releases? According to the site, the last releases were on 31st January 2015.

I made hundred of new dumps and new unofficial IPFs, they never got integrated till yet. Problem is that they have no more people taking care for Amiga, taking care for the database/homepage and so on…

I have currently 1122 IPFs for Amstrad CPC in stand by, and 2089 tape dumps for CPC as well. |

They really all should be released before the project dies if it hasn't already or alienates everyone and they look elsewhere for a preservation project.
It shouldn't all have to rely on one guy like Denis to prop up the entire project. Denis, maybe you can provide a list of all the games that are IPF'd but not currently available, then as a community project we can see if we can contact the copyright holders and see if they would either like to release the IPFs for all, or at the very least take a copy for their own website. Having them all stored on a CAPS server someone and maybe one/two other person(s) private collection is hardly preservation. What's the point of preservation if it's not for all. It will also stop unverified "unofficial" IPFs from spreading also else the IPF format will just become another ADF. |

Is there any way I can help? I write SQL for a living at work. :/
I'm not a web guru by any means, but reporting and data are my life. Plus I'd really like to ensure the C64 stuff gets as cleanly archived as the Amiga stuff has (so far)... I'm open to helping however I can. |

dlfsilver - did they ever solve all the IPF format issues that prevented Dungeon Master 1.0 from working? I was the one who submitted that ages ago, never saw a working IPF out of it.
I can throw you a raw file if you want to see what you can do with it. |

it is currently unsupported. I guess a news update will be made once done.

It was one of the earliest sets of dumps I did, so it's not at my fingertips. I did find my whole collection of raw images of my coverdisks and a few other things while I've been looking. If there's stuff people are looking for, just ask. I may have it. |

I've zoned a raw dump, is that what you're looking for ?
Disk-analyse output, for reference: Code:
T0.0: AmigaDOS T0.1: Dungeon Master Weak Bits T1.0-79.1: AmigaDOS T80.0-83.1: Unformatted *** T0.1: Dungeon Master Weak Bits: IPF: unsupported variable density! disk-analyse: IPF: Switching to SPS encoder. *** T0.1: Dungeon Master Weak Bits: IPF: unsupported variable density! I don't think Dungeon Master/Chaos Strikes Back is fully supported in Disk-Utilities, when I asked Keir to look at in 2012 he said the weak bits can't be represented in an IPF yet even though he created a format to partially support it!

No, it's not fully supported.
The generated ipf boots and load the game but when you click on "Enter" it just hangs and doesn't load any further. So, no go. |

The IPF I made loads and lets you enter but will eventually Guru after a few minutes with a System error #60 I think! Plus, characters that bump into a wall will still show the damage and after a while the pressure plate to open the gate won't work, so definitely not supported!
Even a CT RAW made from a KF dump does not work, sticks on the DM logo! |

I completely agree! I think they should all be uploaded to Archive.Org which hosts already tons of complete rom sets that didnt get taken down. The fear that some copyright holder comes after SPS is pretty unrealistic. |

Yeah well, all the Amiga Format magazine scans have been taken down from Archive.org so don't be so sure.
