WinUAE or Amigaforever?
Which one is better to use?
Downloaded some game files on Lemonamiga but didn't get them to work with WinUAE...maybe it will work with Amigaforever? |

Amiga Forever uses WinUAE, so emulation-wise it's the same.

That is correct Graham. Lemonamiga don't host the files themselves. They however link to possible download sites.

@superfly
IMHO it's worth a lot more to invest some time in getting to know winUAE. At first, it might seem daunting if you're not used to work with the hardware. But once you get the hang of it, you can build your own virtual Amiga to your liking. Besides that, winUAE caters for novice users by providing basic configurations for virtually all standard amiga models. I can't imagine the ADF files you try to run, won't work in winUAE unless the ADF's themselves are corrupt. AmigaForever, as mentioned, is merely a little frontend which uses its own XML standard for winUAE configuration for each game. The upside when going with AmigaForever, is that you 'legally' own the kickstart roms, be it the modified versions if memory serves me right. |

Yeah that sounds smart actually. I should probably invest in Amigaforever if I wanna play the ol' classics then :-P
However...that old version of WinUAE and that included rom file works nice with Mechforce at least :-P |

Have you visited Toni's projectsite www.winuae.net and tried it with the latest version?

I wouldn't touch Amiga forever
I use WinUAE with Classic Workbench, and its awesome. You dont need to buy emulation, free alternatives are just as good if not better. |
