Looking for Caps2Ctrl commodity

Hello!

It turns out that I never really used a PC keyboard with an Amiga for a longer period before, but as I have to use one with my Miminig I face the problem of Ctrl key being located on odd location. On all systems I've had up through the years, I've always mapped capslock to ctrl, even in windows with a tiny entry in the registry. Amazingly it turns out noone has done this little obvious thing for Amiga systems yet, at least I have not found any commodity to do this, yet there's heaploads of nocapslock clones out there.

Anyone got a tip, or some code to show off?

I did write that this is on Minimig, didnt I?

UAE is already covered as I've mapped ctrl to caps already on the host systems.

Anyways, there's plenty of software that plays with the capslock, use it to change layouts, let it act as shift and more, but none that lets it be ctrl. I really doubt there's any technical obstacles.

The problem is that the caps-lock key on the Amiga keyboard always acts as a "lock" key. This means, it does not send key-down/key-up codes for each key press, but it sends only key-down if you press it once and key-up when you press it again.

Therefore mapping caps-lock to ctrl is possible, but the result would be ctrl-lock.

Right, and that's fine - but the thing here is that this is not for Amiga keyboards, but for PC keyboards. Does the above still apply?

You are talking about a commodity, so this is an Amiga and an Amiga keyboard, be it emulated or not.

Perhaps you can redefine the caps key in the emulator, but then you cannot use a commodity.

I have a mini-keyboard which has a dipswitch to swap ctrl with capslock, if you're willing to buy a keyboard with the caps in the desired placem you could get one of those.
