Need help to re-use my machines

Hello ,

i have several Amigas around here collected dust for longer time. Now i wish to use it again
but unfortunately all disks are unreadable.
ATM, the most important machines to get running are :
A1200 with Kick 3.0 ( i know i have a set of 3.1 somewhere)
A600 with Kick 2.0
i have also a squirrel PCMCIA-SCSI and a Network-card for PCMCIA.

Because i own the original disks, i'd guess it is not illegal to request a copy of the content
but i wonder how to bring it back. ( internet via linux ).

any hint is welcome.

You have two routes :

SCSI
IDE
  • Any 2.5" PATA (laptop) hard drive
  • 2.5"->3.5" IDE adapter (so you can plug into your PC)

Connect it all up and then format the hard drive & install Workbench 3.0 using E-UAE. If you use FFS (Amiga Fast File System) then you'll be able to mount & read/write your drive in Linux if you add AFFS and Amiga partition support to your Kernel.

There are some restrictions on hard drive size and primary partition size but worry about that once you've got everything together.
