v0.99992 to me it works well, i find it much faster in finding the modules, however, the problem remains Iconify and MUI_Redraw

Hi all!

Thanks for your feedback!

It seems that the version string was "eaten" by the compiler optimiser...will fix it in the next release. In the meantime, you can press the "radio" button and it will print the version in the info. box and the log page.

I'm still puzzled by this "iconify" button not working on some systems/MUI versions... will continue investigating!

As for MUI_Redraw(), I'm thinking about creating a new GadTools-based UI, which would not have this problem

Cheers!

If you intend the string shown in the screenshot by clicking on the logo, it works fine for me.

AmiMoRadio now works also on AROS One 68k, it takes a bit longer because it discards some modules, I didn't understand why

Thanks for your feedback, very much appreciated as usual

Regarding the discarded modules, could you tell me what the log says? (Or save it and send it to me?) It could be that, by some randomness, AmiModRadio found modules that the player couldn't play...

Best!

Unfortunately the log cannot be saved, when I use the Save button the GUI freezes while the module continues to play. Another problem is that after finding the module it takes a long time to play.

Anyway this is an AROS problem that is also found on AmigaAMP and other players, AROS 68k must reach compatibility with 68k programs.

Hi AmigaSystem!

Usually, when clicking "save", a file requester should open... in your case above, nothing opens?

Best!

When I click on Save I have never seen a request, not even on my AfA One one, on this OS when I click on Save a txt file is generated in the ENV named Dirlist-Format.txt, see screenshot !

Oh, I really don't know what's happening: in my code, I try to open the ASL library v37+. If it cannot be opened, then there should be an error message in the log. Else, I allocate and show a file requester...

Puzzling!

Hi I really like this software and I use it on my 030 1200. The problem is that sometimes it fetch mp3s from aminet and that will kill the performance so badly that often the only solution is to reboot with ctrl+la+ra. Since these mp3 modules are all in mods/mpg/ and maybe also mods/32bit/, is there a simple way to blacklist these whole folders? I think I could also disable mp3 decoding from eagleplayer but the better way is to not download these files at all. Thank you.

Yes! Actually, I had the very same problem so AmiModRadio has two different settings that will help:
  • You can "blacklist" individual modules or whole folders using the little "speaker with a cross" icons next to the module or folder name. These icons update the files data/Blacklisted Files and data/Blacklisted Directories. You can also edit these files by hand if it's easier. (Also, data/Blacklisted Directories should already include "/mods/mpg".)
  • You can limit the size of the modules to download. This setting is the last one, at the bottom, in the Prefs page. I found this setting useful with my A4000D/30: I didn't want AmiModRadio to download large modules (slow download) and then unarchive them (slow unarchive) to then realise they contain no playable modules or, worst, MP3

One last set of settings that could be useful for you: the before-last three settings in the Prefs page to only consider "good" modules (rated by either you or the community), this will also prevent some large (and crappy) modules to be downloaded...

Hope that this helps! And don't hesitate to ask for features, report bugs, or offer translations!

Cheers!

It might depend on MUI, on AROS 68k Iconyfy works fin, see video, AROS uses ZUNE similar to MUI.

Hi all and thank you AmigaSystem for your great help!

I fell into a temporal distortion that kept me away from my Amiga

Do not worry. Just make a version that works with MUI like they told from the very beginning

Hi Retrofan!

I'm thinking of redoing the UI using ReAction, thanks to 3.2... What do you think?

Best!

No idea. It was nice with MUI when it was working right.

Maybe you could maintain both but I'm very very curious about a reaction gui especially if it will lean the current mui gui. Reaction will be the future but 3.1/.4 users will be left out.

With ReAction surely it will be lighter, I hope the "Images" skins can still be supported.

About 3.1.4 will still be able to use it by installing the ReAction libraries

Hi all and thanks for your feedback!

My thoughts exactly: a ReAction GUI should be lighter than MUI but possibly at the cost of customisation...

Let's try
