Version 0.994 had problems with me too, version 0.996 works well on Amikit X, see screenshot.
Amikit X Use Eagle Player as Eagle Player, make sure that the Eagle Player's folder has not been supported or if Eagle Player is not working. Also check if the Network is working well on WinUAE Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 17 June 2020 at 16:02. |

All I ever get with each release is, "could not fetch and/or play modules" from any resource I try. I have the latest, 0.9996.

AmiModRadio needs a Player in order to work, if one of the supported Player is in SYS:C it will be seen automatically, if it is on another path you have to add the path in the user-startup:
Quick and easy method with Hippo Player (used by me) - Copy HIP (executable) -> SYS:C - Copy HippoPlayer.group -> SYS:S - Copy HippoPlayer.prefs -> SYS:S - Copy HippoPlayer.PS3M -> SYS:S - Copy Script Arexx > SYS:S Or - Path DHX:.../HiP/HiP ADD - Copy HippoPlayer.group -> SYS:S - Copy HippoPlayer.prefs -> SYS:S - Copy HippoPlayer.PS3M -> SYS:S - Copy Script Arexx > SYS:S Method Eagle Player: Assign EP: DHX:..../EaglePlayer Path EP: ADD |

Thanks - I already added EaglePlayer to my user-startup a while back as you've shown here. I'll double-check to make sure I didn't screw it up somehow. I didn't put a lot of time into it after reading the other huge thread here on EAB. I have ModExplorer and I'm really, really happy with that - I use it constantly.

I don't mean to sound that negative - just frustrated, as others have been, at putting time into this app to try to get it working over several versions. I went ahead and deleted it and took the Eagleplayer entry out of user-startup. I'll keep up with posts and try it again at some point as it continues to mature.

Forget EaglePlayer, use HIP Player that works better and hidden without showing anything on the Workbench.
Follow my first advice with the steps written above, then copy HIP to SYS:C and the rest to SYS:S Make sure that RexxMast is started in the Startup-sequence Attach a scrennshot so you can see the error text ModExplorer and AmiModRadio are two different things, AmiModRadio using AmigaAMP can also play MP3s from Aminet, even if you have to do a particular procedure http://eab.abime.net/attachment.php?...4&d=1590660882 Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 11 June 2020 at 11:45. |

Is the log file saved somewhere in the AmiModRadio Drawer? If so what's the filename so I can find it & send it. The problem is when I click on AmiModRadio now nothing at all happens - I don't get the basic AmiModRadio window or anything so there's not a Log tab to click on. Thanks |

Wadayaknow - I spoke too soon.
Turns out AmiModRadio wasn't doing nothing - it just took forever to load. Tried loading it again earlier on this evening - nothing so went to cook tea, came back say 45 mins later & its on screen. Here's (hopefully) a couple of screen grabs that show the Log you asked for:- |

You don't seem to have an internet connection, did you activate bsdsocket.library ?

Similar to last night after say 45 mins or so AmiModRadio finally pops up on the screen. It looks like its been hung-up on '_connect_player(), could not find known ARexx port of a player'.
Like I said before I havent changed anything & it did work ok 3-4 weeks ago. Does the above mean anything significant ? |

The Arexx Port appears to be not started, check if Rexxmast has been executed, check if you have the command in the startup-sequence:
SYS:System/REXXMast >NIL: Try running from a Shell "REXXMast" (without >NIL:) and check if it is active Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 20 June 2020 at 09:19. |

Hi AndyHants and AmigaSystem!
Quote:
Also, AndyHants, make sure that one of the supported player, like DeliTracker or EaglePlayer, is in the path. You should be able to start it from a Shell by just its name. Usually, you will have something like that in your S:User-Startup: Code:
Path <Some path>/Delitracker2 ADD |

On AmikitX in the user-startup should have this command:
;BEGIN EaglePlayer Assign >NIL: EP: SYS:Utilities/EaglePlayer Path >NIL: EP: ADD ;END EaglePlayer Watching his first screenshots "EaglePlayer" he started ! |

Hi AmigaSystem and AndyHants

Then, please type: > SYS:System/REXXMast which should tell you that RexxMast is already started. Just to confirm that RexxMast starts automatically. If either one of these line fails, you've got your culprit Let's know! |

Tried both of the above from a Shell session. Firstly typing Eagleplayer does indeed launch Eagleplayer. Secondly typing in the REXXMast command I get 'REXX server already active' - (see screen shot). Not sure if that helps at all ? EDIT: Oh & also checking the User-Startup file has exactly the correct commands in for Eagleplayer too. |
