I have an old Amiga hard disk (Quantum Bigfoot 2.5Gb version) that almost died and wanted to save its contents with WinUAE 1.5.3.
WinUAE boots fine with this HD but when I try to create HDF image of the hard disk an error code 0:112 is shown. Here are winuaebootlog + screenshot. What could be possible reason for this problem? I get this error message (0:112) even though there's plenty of space for the hardfile
![]() The amiga disk is 4gb and I have 9gb free on the usb stick I want to save it on. |

Stick is FAT formatted? FAT can only support file sizes up to 2G-1 (or was it 4G-1) bytes.

The stick is FAT32, and I've had more than 10gb of files on it previously. Looked into the winuae sources and from what I could see ERROR_DISK_FULL is defined as 221. Has error 112 been redefined perhaps? Could not find any definition of it...

_Single_ file can't be larger than 2G - 1 bytes (or 4G - 1 bytes)
EDIT: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc938937.aspx 2GB-1 is max FAT file size. (I remember seeing 4G-1 max size but perhaps it was not about FAT) Last edited by Toni Wilen; 13 September 2010 at 21:48. |

Ah, so I should try to save the file to an NTFS disk then...
