Hey,

I always thought, that Headcoach and Headcoach Pro Football Sim was the same game in different Version but I see there different.
BUT... I have a second Version from Headcoach V3 with a different Handbook from The Midnight Oil not from Coda Software.
The Programm seems the same. Midnight Oil was it Australian Publisher???

Question:
There are three Versions of Rockford in HOL.
One is the Flatpack from Arcadia without Diskscan
The Other is the Boxed Version from Melbourne House with Diskscan.
What is the coin up Version there is a Diskscan.
I have the Arcadia Flatpack here and it has the same Disk which is shown at the coin up.
???

Those Arcadia versions are indeed interesting. I need to read up on it before I can say more about it, but maybe somebody else can shed some light on what Arcadia was and how they sold their games.

Arcadia is an Arcade system similar to the Magnet System (by EFOSA), that uses floppy disks.

https://www.recreativas.org/magnet-system-2427-efosa

A thread mentioning some history about it: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=94974

Pool and Rockford are the only games not dumped (in MAME). There is also mentions of Mr. Do Run, X-Soldier (Time Soldier) and Zeta Force (unknown game) but those three might not be released.

Unrelated, another never released arcade game mentioned in HoL is Dark Chamber. http://hol.abime.net/4406

It uses PLUTO motherboard, and the demo is probably lost forever.

The thing that I'm interested in is if they ended up selling 'Arcadia' versions to 'home' Amiga owners. It seems like the Arcadia versions of games work in non Arcadia hardware or they released versions that did not need the hardware. Either way I don't know how to handle that hardware system properly yet.

TCD has updated the OCS Version of Rockford with my scans.
The new Diskscan is the Version of the Arcadia Flatback, also the black Manual Cover Scan
in Misc.
If Arcadia is a different System to Amiga, so it has nothing to with HOL.
If there is a conversion of this Arcadia System to Amiga, than there must be no Diskscan, in my opinion.
If we have an Atari conversion we also did not scan the Atari Box or Disk???!!!

Thank you for the notes As I have said before anything related to WHDLoad info would be better reported to the WHDLoad team as we can't change it.

I'm working on the "0000"* tagged games from HoL at the moment. Trying to do a little digging as to when they were released (or un-released). Not sure if you're interested in this data, since obviously some of the entries are clearly marked as "unreleased" and so it's understandable why HoL might not want to list the year (it's useful for my collection though). But some others are perhaps more clear cut and could warrant an amendment, eg Black Dawn has been confirmed on eab as released in 1993 (correction: 1994 apparently).

*btw, is there any reason why there are two options - "0" and "0000"? They seem to list exactly the same games.

Here's some data so far:

1989
Antispyrel

1991
Ack-Ack
Amigoids - OK! Amiga Power 5 (Sep 1991) Disk 5

1992
3D Kit II World

1993
4-In-A-Line

1994
Albion
Alchemy (Psygnosis)
BiffBoarding
7 dni a 7 noci
Black Dawn
--------------------------------------------
1996
Atmosfear - unr
Atrophy - unr

1997
Almagica demo

1998
Amiga Resident Evil demo

2000
ACSYS

2007
Agricola

2005
-Basket Island demo pl

2016
Alarcity

Thank you for the information Right now I'm busy with processing scans, but I'll get to it eventually. You are right about '0' and '0000'. It should be consistent.

I've added the years to those games that were released. For unreleased games we usually don't add the 'year' information. I've also updated the Alarcity entries to 'unreleased'.

The '0' and '0000' problem is a bug that eventually will be fixed.

Thanks for sorting it out, as always

I know "unreleased" games are just that, so no point in putting the year there, though it's nice to read about it in the notes. After the last batch I mostly stopped taking notes for them though. The rest are games I found dates for, mostly on TOSEC's say so, but sometimes in-game mention, etc.

As it is, I've just finished the 85-95 crawl (and so the collection's "complete" for now) and here's the rest of the notes ....sorry

Hi TDC, as per our conversation elsewhere, I have some of these TOSEC - not - in - HOL games for you. There are over 100 of them so I've just uploaded my working dir to the Zone instead posting a long list here, might be more convenient for you in case you'd like to see them running in WinUAE or whatever.

Please note that not all of them are missing from HOL - I made this by comparing latest official TOSEC (PD, EDU and main GAME archives) against my collection, not HOL itself (though I did a lot of HOL checks too). In theory my collection should mirror HOL but in practice not always, so some of these titles are already included.

Sorry, but trying to sort them completely out would be a bit too much for me. It's already quite an undertaking, hence only letter A for now ( I need a break).

Thank you Dreadnought.

Some games are in HoL under a different name (Amiga Roulette - Roulette-Royal).

The only game not in HoL is Aardrijkskunde Spelenderwijs v1.0. Weird dutch title, might be PD, I can't tell.
