EAB Tracker (Torrents)

I'm proud to present you the next addition to EAB file sharing. Magix has set up a tracker for us

http://tracker.amiga.me/
Upload Rules:
  • DO NOT upload "IPF Images", "Workbench Disks", "Kickstart ROMs/Disks" & software or music files still supported/for sale.
  • DO NOT upload NEVER EVER APC & TCP Software.
  • Use Search Function before you create a torrent.
  • Torrent with 'illegal' content will be deleted at once.

A HowTo for µTorrent to get some of you started making torrents : http://www.utorrent.com/help/guides/make-a-torrent

Create an account and start seeding guys

Erm, no. Torrent is most used way to distribute illegal stuff these days, but that doesn't mean that Torrents are illegal per se. You can download OpenOffice only (?) as a Torrent. Magix, Damien, Graham and my humble self will do our best to keep it 'clean'

Downloading the last file now wobbly and creating the torrent in about half an hour

Note to ma693541 : I will create the torrent with the unpacked 'Amiga Demos.zip'. So if you want to join in make sure you have the following structure :

Amiga Demobase (root folder)
/Amiga Demos (folder with the contents of Amiga Demos.zip)
/Amiga demobase.zip
/Amiga Demobase Note.txt

The usual restrictions quite suck, specially on the ACPTCP side, since I'd love to have AndreasM disappear from Amigadom... but what can one do.
Nice one, again, Magix!

Kind of a weird question to ask there mate, since most any software uploaded to this tracker will be "illegal" as well, as "abandonware" is as legal as armed robbery.

Why do people always have to question the legality of these things? if you feel "dirty" just don't do it
