After doing various tests with extra buttons using CD32 pad or keyboard keys to lock/unlock/toggle/push the strafe position..
I finally concluded that holding fire button for strafe was the most practical approach and widely available and accepted by almost everyone.. The thought for the collision hack was that players do not need to block each other through narrow paths... especially in an area where both players need to backtrack through a series of obstacles to allow the other to get specific power-ups.. as in real life a marine could maneuver around his own friendly combat soldier no matter how much heavy armour they are wearing.. but an enemy would still block you.. |

This is very cool. Do any of those options allow you to change weapons (collected so far and at currently gained/earned firepower levels) whilst playing, a bit like a top-down version of Doom? I've long thought that would be a great way to play the Alien Breed game series.

I couldn't find the WHDload source code for the SE and the current slave isn't compatible with the SE version.. will see if the original WHDload slave developers are interested in sharing the source code or if they can add the features in their next update

![]() Please take your time, no need to rush ![]() I always kinda disliked Alien Breed 1,SE & Alien Breed 2 because it was so fidley to get the diagonals everytime and then just standing there and shoot. ![]() It feels so great to be finally able to strafe after all these years; always wanted that feature ![]() Thank you very much ztronzo ![]() |
