Is it possible to connect to my network using Deneb?
I need to get my 4000T online. Is it possible to connect to net using Deneb and possibly a usb network card?

Yes it is possible, but it's tricky finding a USB ethernet card/dongle with a compatible chipset. Maybe someone who has one and knows where they can be purchased online will link it for us. I would love to purchase a couple for myself, it would allow me to go online from my netbook in Aros until the internal ethernet is supported.

There is a usb network card bundled with Deneb in Amigakit website. Not sure if it would work with Aros though

Tricky?
I've not heard many people having trouble at all. I bought the Deneb, went to the store and bought the cheapest usb dongle available. Works without issue. (no clue with AROS tho) |

I got one of these - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2797
$5.95 and free shipping. Works like a charm with the latest DENEB firmware. |

This means I won't need an ethernet card if I buy Deneb

What model is it? Thanks, tnt23, you have helped a lot. I was checking out those same adapters on DX, but hadn't bought one yet because they have quite a few models on there and I wasn't sure which of them had compatible chipsets (and I don't have a few dollars to waste if it's not the right one). I'll definitely buy a couple of these now, thanks again! |

I want to mention that even if your dongle isn't supported, you can send one to chris hodges, and he'll include drivers for you. I had a 5$ dongle before, and upon contacting mr hodges, he kindly accepted to write drivers for it after I sent a sample to him.
great job mr hodges |
