Yea, not a bad choice. TF1260 should end up the cheapest while the Warp 1260 brings most features, so it would be motivated with higher price. It looks very feature complete for what you could ask fo from a once card solution.
ACA1260 will likely not be cheap, but they do have a good track record on build quality if thats a consideration.
Question only about the actual availability of rev6 060s which I assume everyone will want to put on those. I know there's a stash within the community, just don't know how many and particularly how many are rev 6.

Hello, in the video they say the card cost so much less the 060 cpu. So does this mean one has to buy the card and then try to find the 060 cpu? or the card will still be sold with the 060 cpu but will cost more. Just asking, I am not passing any sort of opinion whatsoever.

That is correct. The card does not come with 060 so that solution is more expensive. As Vampire crash "Capture Dreams" it is probably less compatible but faster and cheaper.

They did have some 060s (but never enough ) but the main route I am sure is they want you to send them the 060.
There is no socket, it has to be soldered in.
They will test your CPU first. You would not want a relabelled EC or LC 060, or Rev 1 etc soldered in.

Imagine if they sold you just the card and you soldered in the CPU and it was either the wrong type or just did not work, very difficult for them to honor a warranty. Plus removing the cpu will be a big pain.

Also I think postage costs of the 060 to Warp guys needs to be factored in. Would probably need full insurance cover, but even then replacement 060 Rev 6s are not exactly easy to get hold of if anything did get lost/damaged in the post.

I just read on Generation Amiga that the cost of this will be €499 WITHOUT the 68060 CPU.

And just like that I'm not interested anymore. Way too expensive (for me at least). If I were spending that sort of money, I'd rather pick up a Vampire v2 which goes for €450.

Shame.

Very bad selection of demos for this comparison, they barely challenge a 060@50Mhz.
I think the last demo was made for an 030 CPU.

Ok, we'll see if its just a rumour or if its true.. While I understand some ppl will think its way too expensive its actually not *that* bad for what you get all things considered.. 20+ years old Blizzard and Apollo cards with 060 rarely go for less than that. And most Blizzards probably have early revisions of 060 so they can't really be overclocked much..
This card will offer up to 105MHz with a rev6 060, more memory than most other options.. and then there's the improved sound options and RTG with HDMI. Feature wise it competes pretty good with the Vampires.

The warp-ppl are obviously aware about the V1200 competition but it may not be a problem anyway. Now ppl will actually have a choice between the FPGA route and the more "genuine" 060 hardware without sacrificing too much and there are always those who will prefer a real 060 over FPGA.

it is not expensive. it is costly! 2 very different things.

if you think a vampire is good enough. then the warp wasn't for you anyway, then go for an vampire.

a 060 card is for us who want the real deal. and with all those features. price is actually cheap!

The base price is nice yeah, but how much will it cost with the installing of the CPU, they need to solder it on and test the cpu/card it says here.. Also extra taxes and shipping back and forth with the 060 will add up to this price.. So we may look at a price around 750 - 950 ?

CpU is aprox 140 ro so so that would make a total of like 650-700 with shippings

"really soon now" TF have some workstuff that needs to be handled.. are working on some small issues that needs to be investigated if hw issue or firmwareissue
