Super Foul Egg WHDLoad?
Hi there,
Sorry for asking such a n00b question, but does a preinstalled WHDLoad version of Super Foul Egg exist? Thanks, James. |

no.. but i will probably be working on one in the future ... i have a beta version of it done already - seems ok, but there was one feature i wanted to add which was not as easy as it would be with other slaves. (damn that filthy AMOS code!)

The slave i have made just uses kick31 patch, but i'd like to add a colour flash when the 'save options' is clicked, just so you can tell it has saved when you have writecache on. StingRay informs me that shouldnt be too hard to do, (since doing it through dos, and i have the filename) but i need a little tutorial on how to go about doing that, but i admit i havent really had the time lately. (although if any coder wants to send a tut' to me via PM, they are more than welcome.) (for me) its not as easy as finding such routines in most games, as the AMOS code seems to be interpreted. |

kick13 caused one of the intro screens to become a mess, so i switched to 3.1
i've had similar problems running normal amos programs of my own under 1.3 Quote:

Some time ago, i did produce a new patch for this game (although I'd still like to go back and see if there are genuine 'improvements' to be made) ... I discovered the the previous errors were caused by a corrupt .prefs files.
however, when testing i completed a multiple egg-combo (5 or 6, maybe more consecutive completions??) and the game crashed out on me. Since these kind of thing can be a rare events, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a bug in the original game or not? I tried increasing the memory requirements of the slave, to see if that had anything to do with it, but at the moment i have no idea. Anyone able to provide any insight (or and inclination to play the ADF version on the minimum required emulation spec) would be being of much help! |

You can just copy the files to a drawer on the HD (and amos.library to LIBS: ) and it works without issue.

Hi! There is a WHDLoad version of this great game already, tested working on my A500 Mini.
Its on the EAB fileserver in the /~Uploads/Aladin/WHDLG folder. Only minor graphical glitch on startup logo, but gameplay is smooth. I used the THEA500-WHDLoad-unofficial-package with updated whdload_db.xml, so dont know if it works with the version from the a500 mini homepage. My favorite PD game, Tritus, sadly does not work :-( |
