Boot Amiga OS3.2 from a USB stick?

What would it take to boot Amiga OS 3.2 from a USB stick in terms of software support (OS hacks included) and hardware installed in the Amiga?

You need the USB hardware such as a Subway/ Deneb/RapidRoad and the USB stack built into a custom Rom, I guess you could use a boot disk to load it even a small CF on the IDE.

A Deneb includes Luceferin support, so booting off USB is definitely possible. A recent update to the ZZ9000 apparently moves the USB support onto the ZZ9000 Rom, so booting off that is possible even without a USB stack.

I think the Deneb way might permit booting a Fat32 USB stick with Fat95 in the kickflash. I don't think the ZZ9000 can do that (yet).

Fat95 can do this without external help. The trick is to write an Amiga RDB behind the MS-DOS MBR. The Boot95 utility is included in the Fat95 archive.

Luciferin is just the software used to write the Deneb ROM. Each flash ROM solution comes with a similar software. The modules needed in the ROM to get Poseidon (the USB stack) working can be read from the PsdRomTag script which comes with the stack.

Or Warp card. Some people tend to forget that Warp is not only CPU 68060 up to 105MHz and 224MB of FastRAM, but also graphic and music card, Wi-Fi, SD... and USB. Moreover Warp can handle booting from USB not only FAT but also Amiga filesystems formatted media.

Can you buy a Warp 1260 yet? I thought they were still in development? Must admit it's not card I have been following closely. Is the USB a full implementation, I.e can you use other USB devices than mass storage?

I have one already. Yes, You can use e.g. mouse, I have in use wireless Logitech instead Amiga mice.

Edit: Can You buy Subway and Deneb and RapidRoad for now? Warp is same option as mentioned, just writing it as one of them.

As far as I can tell from the info provided the USB support seems limited for now
"USB mouse support
USB keyboard support"

But apart from having a working USB port and software in the system (that part is sort of self-explanatory :-) , do you need a custom ROM or how would you do it to make it work? Lets say you want to see it as a selectable Boot device on Early Start up screen (i.e. Hold down both mousebuttons at boot)
Do you need to fool the OS that its a IDE device somehow or could it actually know it boots from USB?

Preferably something more mainstream than a €500 warp card, and could be applied to various Amiga models (as long as they have some required USB hardware and stack)
