EAB Games League Season 1 Round 1 - Slam Tilt (Ace of Space Table)
Okay then folks, here we go. The first game we play in our league is:
Slam Tilt (Ace of Space Table) The rules for this competition are in this thread. Here's a quick run-down though: - The round starts at 12:00am UK time on Monday, May 21, and finishes at 11:59pm UK time on Friday, June 8. - Scores can only be posted during the time of the round, any scores posted outside of this period won't count. - You can play on a real Amiga or an emulator, whatever you prefer. - If you can, take screenshots or use a digital camera/mobile phone to provide proof of your score, however if you are unable to do this then you can upload your high-score file as confirmation. You should also write your score in your post. - Anyone can enter at any time, and you can post as many scores as you want during the round. Of course, only your highest score will count towards the final standings. - During the second week (May 28 - June 1) the voting will take place for the second round's game, a thread containing details will be created nearer the time. - At the end of the round, the player with the highest score gets 12 points, 2nd place gets 10, 3rd 8, 4th 7, 5th 6, 6th 5, 7th 4, 8th 3, 9th 2 and 10th 1 (assuming that many people take part). - No cheating! No using save states, cheat codes, trainers or anything like that, and no modifying scores in any way. This competition is just a bit of fun and hopefully no-one will sink that low. However, if you genuinely suspect someone has cheated in any way, please PM me and I'll look into it. I think that covers it all, more or less. If anyone's got any questions, you can post it in this thread, but I'd prefer it if you posted it in the Rules thread. Thanks and have fun! Final scores: 1. VermillioN - 6,617,680,690 2. turrican3 - 6,476,803,550 3. RickyC - 5,432,519,080 4. mailman - 5,250,907,500 5. killergorilla - 4,079,743,860 6. mihcael - 2,520,773,300 7. Okay, just to get the ball rolling (that's my excuse anyway), here's a score I got this morning. It's the first time I've played this in ages so that kinda explains the average-ness of it.
226,013,140 I'm pretty sure this will be beaten (I'll beat it myself, hopefully - I used to get mega scores on this table) but hey, at least I'm in the lead. |

Right, I'm going to keep the current scores in the first post of this thread, just as an at-a-glance guide to how well everyone's doing and to make life easier for me I'll try and keep it updated as often as I can.
Though it shouldn't discourage anyone from entering their scores if they're not as good as the ones at the top of the league... you've got nothing to lose by entering them after all (except we'll all laugh at you ) |

I had another go tonight (though I didn't plan to; a night out unexpectedly came to a rather abrupt end) and beat my old score, though it's still a way of Mad-Matt's.

Brilliant idea Graham and what with Slam tilt being my favourite pinball game of all-time.
Cursing now that I just don't have time to participate. Damn. |

That's a shame quahappy.... still, there's a couple of weeks still to go, maybe you could find time to enter
Also it's a bit odd that no-one who took part in the voting has entered yet |

Thanks! Practice makes perfect, as they say
Though as it stands currently, you could get a total score of 1 and get 6th place in the standings, thereby getting you 5 points for this round... |
