DIY Video Genlock?
Hey guys.
I've been interested in genlocks and it seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to build one myself. If anyone has any schematics, advice, or any other knowledge on the subject that would be a great help. FYI I have an NTSC A500 that I'd be working with. Thanks! |

It's probably easier to buy one.

Maybe so but I figure why spend $100-$200 if there's a chance I can build one for cheap.
I've built a midi adapter and audio sampler myself and it was way cheaper and easier than tracking the originals down. |

The circuitry needed for a genlock is way more complicated than for a sampler or MIDI interface. Check the schematics in the Genlock Service Manual.
