Old times
Wow I am excited to find this place.... really brings back some memories. Running a WWIV BBS or a 6485 BBS back in the 80's out of Southern Cal... zero day warez lol...
Still remember a few of the names... Ulf/Defjam, Alex Tsopeis, the entire Quartex team, etc.... probably very few of you might remember me but if you do drop me a line.... I used to swap sprint codes and MCI etc with a lot of Europeans....the board was called The Back Door.... of course I am the Back Door Man --- (*nod to Jim Morrisson).... at first i was running it on a C-64 with 4 1541 drives lol... massive storage of 170k x 4..... and a 9600 Hayes.... eventually ended up with WWIV on a PC with a US Robotics ... always trying to get y-modem g maximized.... man those were the days....love to swap some stories and if anyone remembers or if Ulf or Alex are still around, drop me a line !
