AR3.zip?
Hi all; I found an old disc with a few roms on that I'd backed up, and amongst what where Amiga files, I've found a zip called AR3.zip... Unzipped, the AR3 file is 256k. I believe it's a CD32 rom, but I'm not entirely sure. Anyone know what it is (and what it should be labelled for WinUAE to use it?)

As mentioned above, it is an Action Replay MK3 rom. This will only work on a 1.3 machine (possibly 2.x). Do not even try running an AGA configuration or 020+ or KS 3.x OS with the AR3 rom as your emulated Amiga will not boot.
Among the many uses of the AR3 on the Amiga were cheating in games, disassembly of programs, saving a complete memory dump to disk and reloading it at a later date, useful for backing up programs that are completely loaded into memory and need no further disk accesses. |
