@solid snake... interesting....

so as sony have decided not to announce the actors list i tihnk we should make our own cast up

the report suggest MGS 2 as a possible storyline so lets see

heres a list of characters

http://groups.msn.com/metalgearsolid...haracters.msnw

not a bad site also includes a little bio too so one could really choose an actor with these qualities...

first i would like to say

Micheal Bein (terminator: Kyle ) for SolidSnake
Vincent Perez ( crow 2: the crow) for Raiden /jack
Kurt Russel (Escape from NY: Snake pliskin) for Col. Roy Campbell
Micheal Weatherly (Dark Angle: Eyes Only) for Octacon

well thats a start at any rate

I like Christian Bale for SolidSnake. With Batman Begins and Ring of Fire he proved that he can be the dark and mysterious dude with an attitude. And he wasn't bad in Equillibrium or the Machinist either.

But if Michael Biehn can pull another Aliens/Terminator/Navy Seals (crap movie, but he wasn't bad) he'd be a fine choice. I doubt it however, as his more recent efforts haven't been exactly up to par.

@Big G,

Indeed, although he as been lacking in some roles of late... I am hoping he could being in something like a cross between two other characters he did a fair job on

Kyle Reece from Terminator

and

Lt. Hiram Coffey from The Abyss

just a thought....

but now you mention Christian Bale i think he could aquit the role quite admirably!

Sean Bean should be one of the characters. Just because...he's Sean Bean. You gotta love Sean Bean!

It's just a fact that stories and characters in games are designed for player interaction, that does not translate to the big screen where there is no interaction at all. So overall if a game is to be translated into a movie, major changes are needed to both the plot and the characters and that is exactly what the fans of the games absolutely do not want to see. It's a lose/lose situation really, IMO.
