First impression, I don't like the controls at all!

122'260 . This game is not my cup of tea. Dislike the controls and that B.C. Kid's "head kick" is too slow (compared to how the enemies move) .The long stretch with the crocodiles in armour are the most difficult.
Get killed at the "re-kill old bosses" part (boxer). Think I was not too far from the end. With your 8 lifes left, you deserve the gold medal john .

Thanks malko - deserved silver medal for you as well. You must've killed a lot of enemies to get this score.

Here's now my playthrough:

Arrgh!

Well done!

I can't see this being possible without juggling loads of enemies all the time though which is milky. But not forbidden.

In fact there is no milky.
Each enemy has a defined number of points.
When you have reached the limit, the enemy can no longer give points.
So it's useless to juggle infinitely with an enemy.
In short it's part of the scoring system, the game was designed to maximize its score... made in Japan

That said the technique is not so easy, in most levels it's very difficult to juggle with an enemy because of background and other enemies.

NB: I didn't kill any baby raptor

Okay, fair enough. We didn't write "don't juggle" so it's all good. Impressive score.

It was done in a rush.
I didn't succeed this technique all the time and it's not perfect for the bonuses stages.
You, me or a motivated player can do even better

Of course. I just thought no one would be motivated enough to even do this technique.

Rexsu amazing score.

It really takes a dedicated player to spend maybe 3 or 4 hours juggling every enemy. I did this on level 1 and 2 on my run, but didnt concentrate on juggling after that. It just goes to prove that the compo players often manage to take these game to the absolute limits, and I'm really amazed players keep finding these tricks.

It would be difficult to score this game as a speed run, so not sure what can be done if it comes up in the knockout. Players could spend all day bumping their heads against dead animals, and it leads to a milking war; not so helpful for players who only have an hour or so to play it.

Question : Did someone manage to hit all the volcano's stones on the volcano bonus stages ?
I didn't manage to find a way (thus only hit half of them on all bonus stages). I can see on your video @John that you first try to "head kick" the lowest one and then jump to get the highest "from the head". But it seems to be a millimetrical thing that doesn't work well for you either.
Does anyone have any other technique ?

PS: Well done rexsu ! Thanks to you we play Dizzy next round

@lifeschool
I think the game lasted less than 2 hours.
In the contest, we have completed much longer games in the past
There are many levels where this technique is not feasible.
In addition to the obstacles of the background, the enemies and the inertia of the hero, to succeed this technique each time is not possible imho.

This game was thought clearly for fun but also for scoring, it's not so common.
Many games have a score by tradition, "by obligation" with a lot of faults.
But it is not perfect (ex: baby raptors), I don't know about NEC version, maybe there is not this little problem.

@malko
For the Volcano stages, in my opinion it's not possible to do 100%.
The performance of John4p is good in my opinion.
I think the coder failed to convert the timing of the NEC version
