Request for Dungeon Master keybindings.

I've got a request for Dungeon Master. A key remapping if you will.

You move in the game with the arrow keys and DEL/HELP. Problem is that DEL/HELP is turn and the arrows left/right are strafe.

In a perfect world, you would move with WASD and QE instead.

So my request would be to simply have it press ArrowUp on W etc.

W = ArrowUp
S = ArrowDown
A = ArrowLeft
D = ArrowRight
Q = DEL
E = HELP

Can that be implemented in the slave? A few years back, I did this in WinUAE directly, but I'm now on a pi without those options...

Thanks!

This should be for ANY gridder type dungeon crawler game.

Or make the keys configurable.

I prefer more FPS type controls such as:

W = ArrowUp
S = ArrowDown
A = Strafe LEFT
D = Strafe Right
Q = Turn Left
E = Turn Right

EOB, Black Crypt, hired guns, etc...

Meynaf's version of Dungeon Master has WASD. Is OS friendly and runs from hard disk. See this thread:

That is awesome, thanks. It does indeed work as I'd like. Now all I need is to find out how to launch it through retropie =)

I'm pretty sure you can rebind keys in amiberry, amiga emu on pi.

But why not create a ticket and ask jotd if he can implement it?

You can not rebind keys in amiberry, no. I did it years ago in WinUAE, I remember that much though.

But its fine. I created a small HD with workbench and Meynaf's version which is autostarting and managed to get it added to retropie =)
