Anyone care about MAME?
New release today.
I compile various x64 versions and they are available on my site. No need to register to download. I post this as I want to make it worth my while uploading them lol I will build other versions if people request them as it's fairly easy to do if you have the time or inclination. http://totalemu.condor.serverpro3.com/downloads.php |

Any chance of an update to the Classic Amiga 68K version, latest version of that is 0.36 or similar?

Forgot all about your builds Ian, thanks for putting them together. Used them all the time until the old site went down for the various single core CPU's back then.
So the answer is yes. |

Isn't there an optimized version of Mame somewhere? Mame runs like crap on my old 550 mhz Pentium 3. Just compare Snes9x (portable) to ZSnes (optmized). Snes9x runs like crap here, but ZSnes runs super smooth (!).

I remember trying Mama68K some years ago on my A1200+060 and being surprised as I didn't expect it to be that "fast" on a Classic 68K Amiga on some games. For example Final Fight. Seeing numerous super big sprites moving on screen was amazing (well it should have moved at a rate between 7-10 fps but still impressive as I didn't think it could be possible to emulate this game on an Amiga, especially with an unoptimized emu like Mame) !

I use a MAME old version because CP1,CP2,NEOGEO games don't work with the newest versions to me.Even the roms used in MAME newest versions stop working in older versions, weird

normal, some parts were badly dumped and were then redumped, and some other roms or GALs/Pals were added.

Custom screen modes won't work without heavily modifying the original image, and the sound will either be skippy or stuttery no matter the config. Basically the app is frustratingly unusable if you're looking forward to emulating something with any degree of visual/auditive accuracy.
Not very happy about MAME. |

Sort of lol
Anyway, the latest version (0.137u1) has been uploaded (all apart from standard mame as I couldn't be arsed due to playing Final Fantasy 13 ) |
