I've got to say this...

188 posts, and yet you didn't know Worms was on the Amiga and you still don't know where to download it from......

That's scary...

Any person, even if he's just slightly interested in Amigas should know Worms exist for the Amiga .

Your first post is scarier than Dizzy's underpants and the Resident Evil series put together.

In fact Worms was first released on Amiga before ALL other formats.

Not only was Worms created on the Amiga, and Amiga-only for quite a while, the definitive version of the original Worms (that is, the best version of "Worms 1") is Worms: The Director's Cut, which is Amiga-only.

It could very well be. =)

:: laughs :: It'd be amusing if Andy (the author of Worms) stopped by. I used to talk to him all the time. Maybe he and Galahad could have a fight. xD

...but I doubt it... It's all kind of moot now... Piracy raised a lot of drama back in the day but really... it just wasn't worth the drama.

Yes I did do it, and no I don't think Andy would be too impressed with me cracking it, because if Andy had a good memory, he would know that he met me and we had an indepth conversation about copy protection at Team 17 HQ in Wakefield before the games release.

We talked at length face to face.

OUCH!

What exactly were you doing there anyway though? o.O

Way back in the day I couldn't afford games usually, but I didn't have the scene connections to acquire cracked software, so I'd sit and spend hours cracking the original games that my wealthier friends had. I wasn't good enough to do weird NDOS drive trickery stuff at the time (we just used hardware copiers for that or parameter-based copiers), but I did crack a good amount of manual-lookup/codewheel crap since it was easier to disassemble and modify.

Of course if I could somehow have been paid for those skills I'd have just bought originals, but I don't think anyone wants to hire you when you're 11. Come to think of it, it's hard to find a good job now. =(

Where to find an OCS version on ADF?

Sorry for re-opening a thread of over 10 years old, but... I'm trying to find a downloadable OCS version in ADF format. The AGA version is downloadable all over the place, but that won't do on my stock A500.

Google was not my friend. So wasn't Lemon, Planet EMU, EmuParadise, etc., ect.

Anybody got a hint?

Thanks, but those are the same as everywhere else. Seems to have the Fairlight cracked ECS/AGA version... and an incomplete OTT cracked version.
