Thanks for the nice words all.
I've now completed the title screen and I'm very pleased with it. The sound sample of the fire made all the difference. [ Show youtube player ] Onward now to getting the first level playable demo ready. Geezer |

As far as i seen, i would rather say HDF rather than ADF, those videos usually are made of images and audio frames uncompressed - on the order of tens of megabytes; i miss a modern video codec for unexpanded amigas that would keep sizes down ^^

As some of you know I make a limited run of glossy big boxes for my games. It may not seem it but there's an enormous amount of effort that goes into making them and so I wanted to make my life a bit easier for the next batch/run after Devil's Temple is completed.
I've stood up an online store where you can now pre-order any of the big glossy game boxes that I've released or going to release. I'll be doing my next production toward the end of development of Devil's Temple which will be around February 2022. You can pre-order at https://www.geezergames.co.uk and for a launch special you can use coupon code HALLOWEEN to get a 10% discount on your cart value. The other thing to mention is that I'm considering offering a service to create game boxes (manuals/labels) for other Amiga devs...so I guess I'm branching out into a bit of publishing. It's early days yet before if you're a dev and interested then drop me a PM. Any problems then let me know. Graeme |

Final bosses are being worked on now so this one is the first. The coding time on this one was pretty much 1% of the amount of time it took me to think about how to do it, i've employed some data driven code here.
I randomly choose from 16 (only 4 implemented) set of attack sequences that the boss will execute, each sequence can be interrupted by the player with some sort of condition if needed, for example if the player does a few kicks then I can initiate a retreat sequence. The same code can be reused for all of the bosses in the game so quite pleased with it. [ Show youtube player ] Geezer |

With all the upgraded game progress, is the actual original Irem from 1984 arcade conversion 100% finished? Would be nice to see some video samples of later levels.

For us real men who can handle the sight of a cops truncheon then this video is for you.
[ Show youtube player ] Very pleased with the boss AI, it's coded in such a way that it can be applied to all of the other bosses with the same bit of code.... I just feed it with a data table. Geezer |

Lol at the other comments, Geezer, cant you put a Blue Oyster sign in it to capture the controversy? Haha
Latest vid looks great, i take it all sprites are used/DMA so cant parralax the full height electricity poles(would look great if possible ). Not trying to take away from your hard work, just comments, if possible etc. |
