He is THE best
Chris Huelsbeck IS God as far as Computer Music goes. Everything he has done was brilliant.
The music for Turrican II was THE best original music I have ever heard for a computer game. I listen to it all the time. I didn't realise until recently that he also did the music for R-Type and that was brilliant as well. The man is a genius. |

I totally agree about the sentiments expressed for Chris Heulsbeck, when most of the other guys at the time were porting across ST game music he made REAL use of the Amiga's sound chip.
As far as I know he did most of the tunes for any Rainbow Arts games in that period,(& before that several C64 tunes as well). I thought he did a great job on the amiga shoot-em-up "X-out" too. Another game that would've been rarely heard of was one he did for "Reline" where he did the music for the first of those "ahem", Strip Poker games. If you can load it up, you'll hear a nice synth title tune, but there's also a couple of in-game tunes that are very good. Just a shame the game itself has never functioned on the emulators!! (ie: the playing poker bit). |

Djay I'm posting the entire Turrican series music in the zone.
It's in TFX format, but plays fine on Delitracker PC side or Deliplayer/Eagleplayer amiga side (with the right ext. players). Enjoy. |
