Here's the link. Just the hires-laced ones for now since my Amiga is in storage (maybe later today I'll try to hook it up and add the hires version). Standard .info files, 4 colours. Preview: |

My daughters A1200's new theme, based on (one of) her favorite cartoons.
Gotta be a better way to screengrab copper stuff than writing rgb values from copperdeamon and plugging them into a gradient background in a paint proggy. (same with mouse pointer, actually, minus rgb stuff of course) Pretty basic setup though, easy for her to find the igame launcher icon. |

I've been tinkering a little with the new Superplus 800x600 driver on my A600 with ACA630 & Indivision ECS
I've customised CWB ADV a little, I'm pleased with how it's coming along and 800x600 is working really well in 8col Runs nice and quick with the ACATune enhancements (plus my ACA is overclocked to 40mhz) |

Fine, fine, fine. Cammy was going to remap some Sonic wallpaper too http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=795978&postcount=67, but for 8 colors it's really great! And your icons are nice for them too. I like it

Thats a nice backdrop, maybe I'll use it on one of my RTG setups I found the above Sonic backdrop on my magicWB CD (it had a folders for 8col/16col & 256col), oh and I found lots of Images on there I think you'd like I'll get the CD uploaded to the EAB file server if it's not on there... |

I've edited my post as I hadn't seen the icons. They are great. I haven't seen much for 8 colors. Are they the normal ones of the pack with only 8 colors?
Although they look pretty nice, I still think there should be made more to choose, made for 8 colors only. Last edited by Retrofan; 03 February 2012 at 02:03. |

Some impressive work here - isn't it great how Workbench can be made in SOOOO many different flavours?
When doing the ClassicWB packs and choosing the icon sets, I never envisaged people running such high resolutions on ECS Amiga's!!! The packs for 8 colours have always been the GAAE, 68K, LITE and FULL, which work great in 8 colour 640x256 traditional screenmodes. The recent release of support for the A600 (accelerators, display drivers) have made this possible of course. The ADV looks ok in 8 colours, and the ADVSP isn't too bad, but the icons are not optimal for 8 colour ECS Amiga's, which are sluggish in 16 colour screenmodes. The only icon set I'm aware of that supports 8 colours at high res is the traditional MagicWB set. I guess the Newicons version could also be converted to 8 colour oldicons too - not sure what that would looks like. Who knows what the future brings! I do have a script I wrote for the ClassicWB 1.3 themes that extracts all icons and settings from a Workbench install to a single drawer, which can then be copied over another Workbench to replace all the icons! I zip them up, then extract them to the target Workbench (that's how the WB 1.3 Themes install). If someone converts their ECS Workbench to a high enough standard, this script could be used to share their efforts if they wish. I may get around to putting something together myself for the next packs, but not anytime soon. It's a time consuming process replacing all the icons and selecting good choices - just ask mfilos!!! And I've had enough for now after doing the WB 1.3 ones! |

@Bloodwych
My friend, my altered ClassicWB Full is almost complete. I will write a review once I finish so all can see the extra drawers and icons used (damn that was a tough one) and I'd gladly use your script so I can share my work with others as well @all Also, you can all take Sonic backdrops which I made for many resolutions (not rescaling but expanding the background) bellow: - 640x512 --> For Hi-Res Laced PAL - 800x600 --> For SuperPlus or RTG - 1024x768 --> For HighGFX or RTG - 1280x1024 --> For RTG (normal) - 1360x768 --> For RTG (wide) Enjoy |

I like your name, Bloodwych. It remembers me i want to create a bloodwych-like game, .. soon
What ? this thread is for showing my WB screen ? You don't want to see it, it's all gray, 4 colors , 640*256 Ah well i will show it anyway: I guess my WB screen could win the most ugliest WB screen contest But really nice WB screens some people here have. I like a lot Ancalimon's WB design, makes me almost want to change my WB screen too |

LOL Lord Riton, it's the TRUE Classic Workbench look. My A500+ had the same look back in the day.

I have written a little ARexx script for ImageStudio which converts a selection if imagefiles to IFF and applies 'Rebels' palette to it in batch. Just put the BatchPallete.isrx in the Rexx folder and de Workbench16.palette in the palettes folder of ImageStudio and off you go.

Thanks for the handy Arexx script, Winston!
Here's the current Workbench 3.1 setup on my A1200 with 8MB RAM and Kickstart 3.0: 16 colours, of course. |
