ADPro
Where can I find ADPro (latest version, possibly) ??
This software is still excellent. It's a pity it cannot be found anywhere. |

Posted v2.1.5 to the zone.
No idea if this is the final version or not and i cant see any patches jumping out of aminet at me. So if anyone has a later version than this, I would be interested too :-) Dondilly |

A quick followup, just googled for 'adpro amiga' and came back with a link http://www.sfn.saskatoon.sk.ca/scien...95March21.html
which states 'AdPro was up to v.2.5 at the time when its makers, ASDG, went under' Now if that is accurate there is a 2.5 out there somewhere (Ive also seen reference to a v2.3) Dondilly |

2.5 is now in the Zone along with 2.0 which from my mem was quite a bit different
Note that ADPro also comes with a file splitter/joiner that has both PC and Amiga executables. |

Thanks Galaxy.
Im amazed that the Tosec database (and the related archives out there) are so out of date and didnt include it. |

yup go for it, the more the merrier in the zone so we can get to the last version available, but you refer to an 'installed version'
by that i take it you mean an backup of what is installed on your HD at the time. that might not be good as depending on how adpro installs, it might go adding assigns to the startup sequence, and dumping fonts and libraries all over the place (and most probably datatypes too due to the nature of the program). you must have installed it from somewhere so if you look hard enough you might find you install disks :-) I havnt tried installing the program yet, but there does seem to be mention that the later versions of adpro used reg keys. anyone know about this or am I gonna have to find out the hardway :-) |

@ dondilly
I do have it on floppies, I just don't have a working floppy disk drive... With 2.5 in thee zone it doesn't really matter, install that then copy my archive over the top. ADpro doesn't use datatypes it was written before they existed, I'm hoping someone will write a day=tatype loader for it... ADpro doesn't install fonts or libraries outside it's drawer so it's easy to install. I have a reg key but ADPro never asked for it so you shouldn't have any problem there either. I'm uploading the 2.5.1 archive now, which also contains ProControl, MultiLayer & MultiFrame... Enjoy... |

Ive just located a copy of the tosec distro of adpro2.51
I have not tested it but i note that it is only a 4 disc set, version 2.50 was 6 discs, so it might just be an update so I would advise getting v2.50 as well just in case |

Severin
looks like our messages and files crossed paths I notice I beat you to the zone, but you got in first with your msg here :-) I would hope with all the art dept pro effort in the past couple of days that someone should be able to get a working copy. I havnt tried yet, but the next big question is does it need a keyfile LOL |
