Screen tear/glitch following mouse pointer.
Just noticed this strange glitch when using latest WinUAE (4.2.1)
Standard A500 config, nothing exotic. Noticed this playing Desert Strike and The Settlers. Both floppy and WHDLoad. When moving my mouse pointer up and down I get this slight offset that effects the screen, kind of like screen tearing, but this follows position of the mouse. Can't say I noticed this before on previous version so maybe new bug? Picture enclosed highlighting area where it happens. Last edited by lordofchaos; 19 July 2019 at 15:19. |

Remove anything unneeded from your config first, it has too many "extra" features like vsync and fullscreen. Too many unknown variables. Windowed mode?
EDIT: Does it stop happening if you disable scaling or adjust scaled screen smaller? (I probably know where it comes from but I don't see how) Last edited by Toni Wilen; 20 May 2019 at 17:56. |

Tried your suggestions and removed "vsync" and "scaling" from the config but kept full screen mode. Issue no longer occurs with this config.

Does it only happen if lagless vsync is enabled (with more than 1 slice, does not happen if only 1 slice?) and filter settings are not full overscan horizontally?

With lagless vsync enabled the issue is present, also changing the slices from 1 and upwards doesn't make any difference. Even with no sync or standard vsync the shifted/offset pixels remain. Seems to happen when I change the filter.
Changing filter settings yields the following: Scaling off = No issue Full screen (TV) = Has issue Full screen (Max) = No issue Automatic Resize = Has issue Automatic Centre = Has issue Integer scaling = No issue Auto Integer scaling = Has issue Also changing from Windowed, Fullscreen and Full Window in combination with the filter settings doesn't seem to effect it. I managed to duplicate it. Yet another side-effect of "alien breed 3d" fix. It seems it can't be fully fixed without larger rewrite..
