One would hope that anybody using OS 3.1 / 3.5 / 3.9 / 4.0 / 4.1 would know how to make an assign and doesn't need to watch a video procedure

Hi DamienD, you're right,
I have a bad habit of simplifying things.
The problem lay in finding the right assignment in the right path.

Some of us are new to the emulation scene and even though we have 4.1FE up and running, these little things can be very handy!

@White Thanks for taking the time to do these little videos, they are incredibly helpful!

@Coreyoli
Thanks, I'm glad you find the topic interesting.

In reality, the entire thread is the result of experiments done over time.
I also got advice and sharing of experiences from real hardware on other forums to adapt them to emulation.
As an old user of workbench 3.xx it was an experience for me to use 4.1FE a bit like I did with 3.xx when I was using a real amiga machine when I was younger I discovered more and more things :-)
The guide written on these pages remains valid but should be updated.
I have recently started using "OpenShot Video Editor" which I am using for other purposes.
So I'd like to create a more complete guide and not just a few minutes' tests.
Having the possibility to insert the videos taken calmly in various days of recording and add screenshots with overlay explanations and separate windows on the video etc.
Also I made an installation script to make installation easier with both winuae and AmigaForever

Today I must say that the result is excellent for me who am passionate about the amiga system.

Many times unfortunately the video capture program does not show the real speed of the system, so you have to take this into account, the system in the videos is always slower while it is fast without the video capture program.

here is the last video made:
[ Show youtube player ]

here you can see for example how the Odyssey browser really works, because it was made without the video capture program:

and here the example installation scripts:
[ Show youtube player ]
[ Show youtube player ]

now i'm finally working on the system GUI file association gadget icons etc. to make it more beautiful :-)

I am moving all the amiga material at my disposal to a 160gigabyte hard disk to see the demo written in assembly
emulators etc. etc. all on the same disk dedicated to amigaos4.1FE.

In short, I like it, so if it can be useful to others, it makes me happy.

Hi,
I finally managed to get back E-UAE with the phone
so you can see the real emulation speed
I used AB3D The Killing Ground II the most demanding as emulator resources to do the test.
I am still working on some small things but the result is great.
This makes the 4.1FE emulation more complete :-)
here the video:

It would be very nice to exchange experiences with those who emulate 4.1FE to test and find the best settings.
here is a video that I called "CRAZY TEST" I hope it is interesting and that someone approaches the 4.1FE emulation, Thanks!
Who said the 4.1FE is unstable ?? ^^

I have been working a lot lately on the configuration and above all on the stability of the system.
4.1FE is now stable.
I can work with multiple applications at the same time.
Without any crashes.
It has become pleasant to use it.
Is it worth using it?
the answer is YES
I hope that over time other users will approach 4.1FE emulation
I put another video maybe someone is encouraged to use it.

Added to list of software for use with 4.1FE basilisk II
It works with MAC-OS versions 7.xx and 8.xx I did some tests with some games and other software.
It seems to work well, also in anticipation of a faster processor in the future.
here I tried Doom 2 Monkey Island 2 and Flashback works a lot of other software but I have to work on it later and better set up the whole system.
here a short video:

Also added DOSBOX I did some tests many things work well but the program can be useful for other things, for example windows 3.11 etc. I have to investigate.
however, it remains an application to be added to 4.1FE

I tried a few more games I also put DosNavigator so the use is easier in DosBox and completes the 4.1FE emulation at least to make it more complete with additional applications.

@Saghalie
Thanks for putting it back online.
It should be modified even if it is a great job.
I have experienced since the first post in this thread was written, the emulation has improved a lot it would be nice to eventually redo a more updated guide.

Thanks again.

With the ppc + voodoo3 emulation I wanted to finally try an SSD hardisk at the moment and connected with an adapt to the usb port but the speed is excellent as soon as I have time I mount it directly on the motherboard
I would say that we are there it is just a matter of completing all the applications with the right executables for games and applications but the result is excellent.
A help would be useful from those who already use 4.1FE in emulation but actually I have seen that almost nobody emulates it.
It seems to me an excellent result.

I worked on it for a long time, because I wanted to have a new generation amiga system, something different from 3.xx
Now I have finally managed to get what I set out to do.
Now finally I can also see the Demo-Scenes on 4.1 thanks to E-UAE included with 4.1
Youtube videos are now also enjoyable to watch.
Everything else works fine now I have to put it together.
I am happy with this.
There are many other interesting things that can be done.

here E-UAE and Odyssey
[ Show youtube player ]
[ Show youtube player ]

now I just have to refine the whole system with modern icons and everything that falls within the aesthetic side.

The tests are almost finished some small problems to be solved but I would say that now the emulation responds well.
Now amigaos 4.1 can be used for fun.
There is no support for a graphics card like an "ati" to have full support for acceleration even on the desktop.
But the result was what I had wanted for a long time.

for those who are curious and interested:
