Can't for the life of me remember this Wizard (solved)

Hello

I created an account as i'm trying to remember a certain game it's really bugging me and I can't find the name of it anywhere. I believe it was on an Amiga but it may be on the Atari ST.

It was a very (in my mind) pretty game concerning a wizard in a pointy hat that throws bouncing (green) balls as a weapon. I believe it mostly took place in a forest with a black background.

A little vague I know, but if you have any ideas I would love to hear them as this is doing my head in

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately it was none of those, background wise though I remember it being very similar to the 'Apprentice' suggestion.

The key gameplay mechanic is that he threw bouncing balls in a very limited arc.

I don't know why but this is driving me nuts that I can't remember it.

Along with a slightly more dark 'Shadow of the Beast' style.

It sounds a lot like Elf to me, except the protagonist isn't a wizard... erm, obviously.

Both Elf and Fire and Brimstone a very similar to it, the only reason I don't believe it's them is that I distinctively remember the sound the 'balls' made and the popping of the enemies . The fantastic sound design is why I believe it's still stuck in my head.

It is indeed entiley possible I am remembering the main character wrong though....

Thanks for the suggestions guys, wow there really were a lot of very similar platformers out then. Unfortunately still none of those are what I'm thinking I wish I still new the guy that I used to play the game over at his house.

It might be possible that it wasn't on an Amiga, as so far people have found 3 different games that more or less exactly match the description.

Haha thanks so much you nailed it.

Wow in my head it looked and sounded a hell of a lot better. Might have to find me a Rom of this (and figure out how to use them).

Thanks to everyone for your help.
