Well this looks like a fun little puzzle-platformer thing I like the wall-crawling mechanics - reminds me of the one backup character in Castlevania 3.
But of course, what I'm really here for is to remind everyone of the immortal truth that LEOPARD SLUGS MATE IN MID-AIR - DANGLING FROM A ROPE OF MUCUS! |

Our team is currently looking for beta testers. Is someone here interested in playtesting? But of course there are rules:

...and I'm a good beta tester So can I ask what's wrong with having people also test via WinUAE as well as real hardware? |

If you don't mind tests done under WinUAE, you can count with me as well.
And nothing can escape my HD , so no worries Just let me know by PM. |

The issue is that I currently have 6 beta testers for the current test build. Only one of them was willing to play on a real Amiga. So I clearly have an imbalance here. During testing phases I got some bugs only happening on real hardware: Sound issues on my A1200 and problems with the blitter because the blitter state machine wasn't correctly implemented in fs-uae. The real hardware is the targeted platform. If the emulated hardware doesn't work, it's the fault of the emulator and thus the emulator has to adapt to be more like the real thing. But of course when it comes to testing the gameplay you are surely right. Compared to yesterday some new small game design issues came up from quite a few of the current testers. I therefore will first adapt so the next testers from EAB don't have the same issues to run into. I guess that makes more sense than handing out the same version again to you all. Thank you for your interest so far. I will write here again when I've finished fixing it. |

FS-UAE is constantly playing catch up. I mean, only recently did it get updated to WinUAE's v4 code; which is years old now. Anyway, if / when you need WinUAE testers then let me know |

But not everyone can have a whole collection of super different Amigas to test stuff in. I guess this is why they're asking for this! |

As mentioned in another thread, WinUAE is sooooo realistic and given how advanced it is these days thanks to Toni Wilen's awesome knowledge / skills / continued efforts; it's very rare for things not to work just like on a real Amiga. Sure, but why not include testers with WinUAE also? This seems a little silly; let's not forget that most coders use WinUAE first and then also test on real hardware |

I don't know how many projects nowadays are developed on the real thing. But I kinda like my cross development environment. The resolution is big, the compiling is fast and I like my keyboard. Also I don't believe that fs-uae is behind. It might be true that linux distributions like Debian ship only older releases. For my development I've compiled fs-uae by myself and the differences to WinUAE are now gone. At least the ones I've observed. fs-uae doesn't rely on Wine and I'm now a linux guy for years. |

There is a bug in the shop - if I add the game to the cart, no matter if floppy or CD, it always adds CD version.
EDIT: fixed now Last edited by Predseda; 11 March 2020 at 15:36. |
